Middle Spine Sharp Pains

why is it when I am walking get sharp stab pain in spine in the middle

Back pain is caused by diseases of disc, facet joint and epidural space. The back pain when associated with leg pain is often caused by irritation or pinch of spinal nerve. The back pain caused by arthritis or inflammation of facet joint is often spread over either side of the mid back. The isolated back pain over the middle of the back is often a discogenic pain. Discogenic pain is caused by disc inflammation, infection or severe degeneration. Isolated mid back pain is rarely associated with diseases of epidural space. You should see a neurosurgeon for further investigation and evaluation.
