  1. Papaya is good for digestive problems because it contains an enzyme called papain which plays an important role in digestion. It helps in digestive process. Papaya can also help prevent constipation and may also end diarrhea.
  2. Eating papaya everyday strengthens our immune system and prevents us from getting recurrent flu and cold. Papayas are good source of vitamin A and C, potassium, folate and fibre. It is also low in cholesterol free, fat free and calories.
  3. Papaya seeds can be used in the treatment of stomach ache and ringworm infection because it is considered having anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
  4. Papaya leaves juice is used in the treatment of dengue. The juice extract from raw papaya leaf helps boost platelets, also known as thrombocytes.
  5. According to research published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology in 2010, doctor and researchers from US and Japan have discovered that enzymes found in papaya leaf are known to work against cervix, breast, liver, lung and pancreatic cancers.
