Dr. DeCaria is double-board certified in anesthesia and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Raised in the Midwest, Dr. DeCaria attended college and medical school in Michigan, followed by residency and fellowship in Chicago.
Since completing fellowship, Dr DeCaria was on faculty at the University of Chicago for half a decade, where she taught dozens of physicians in training.
During this time, she pursued further education in integrative medicine, including a year-long faculty scholars program at the Northwestern Osher Center for Integrative Medicine.
She has authored numerous textbook chapters and peer-reviewed publications on pain management, presented at national conferences, and serves as an expert peer reviewer for a top-tier national pain medicine journal.
