In relation to the treatment of fibromyalgia, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends three kinds of drugs to treat the disease which are effective and safe for use. One of the drugs is Pregabalin (Lyrica) which mainly helps with neuropathic pain. It also decreases fatigue and is associated with improved sleep patterns which are crucial problems in Fibro fog. There is also Duloxetine (Cymbalta) which is effective in managing depression and neuropathic pain. The other drug recommended for treatment of fibromyalgia is Savella. It reduces pain and is also used as an antidepressant.
