Pseudofolliculitis barbae (PFB) is a scientific term to denote Barber’s itch. It is also identified with the symptoms such as bumps from the razor, blemishes in the beard or unceasing itchiness because of shaving. The initial symptoms are small pimples or red swelling around the root of the hair. If not identified and treated early, it can spread and become sore, while taking long time to heal.
