Treatment Of Osteoarthritis
No effective treatment for cartilage wear has been established to date. So, to prevent deterioration, exercise moderately, lose weight, and control inflammation by using drugs. Maintaining flexibility and strength around joints is important and your doctor may recommend you take some medications to help maintain flexibility in osteoarthritis of the knee and hip, the use of a cane reduces the burden on the joints and improves mobility. If it progresses further and pain or deformity is strong, joint surgery may be performed, and artificial joints may be inserted after the age of 55.(5)
