Below mentioned are some of the exercises which if done diligently can increase the height of an individual after puberty.

Vertical Bar Hanging: This is perhaps the easiest and most effective way of increasing the height even after puberty. It stretches the body completely including the bones and tissues of the spine and promotes an increase in height.

All you need to do is hang on a vertical bar, which resembles a goalpost and can be found in virtually every playground in the neighborhood. You just need to hang on this bar making sure that the distance between the ground and the feet should not be more than 6 inches. Hang on this bar for as long as you possibly can. By doing this daily, it will help make the spine flexible and lengthen it which will eventually make you taller by a few inches.

Cobra Stretch: This is a yoga pose which when performed makes the spine nimble and stretched. It also allows the cartilage to grow thus increasing the height of an individual even after puberty. To do this stretch you need to lie down on your stomach and stretch the body with the head facing down. It should be made sure that the toes are pointed straight outwards as this increases the strength of the spine.

Now lift the chest up off the floor such that a stretch is felt along the spine. Gently lift the torso off the floor such that the whole body is balanced on the hands and elbows.

Maintain this position for about half a minute and then get back to the starting position. This exercise needs to be done at least four times a day for best effectiveness.

Pilates Roll Over: This is yet another effective exercise in order to increase the flexibility of the spine and make the spine stronger and longer so as to increase the height after puberty. It also helps in elongating the neck vertebrae.

To do this exercise, you need to lie on your back with the arms spread and the palms facing the floor. Now you need to join both legs together and lift the legs up and then bend it backwards in such a way that they take the shape of a bow and the feet the touch the ground behind your head. This exercise may be tough to do in the beginning, but with practice this can be perfected and you will get the desired results.

Ankle Weights: This is perhaps the best exercise to increase height. This exercise helps in increasing the length of the lower portion of the body. This can be done stretching the cartilage of the knees. This will increase the cartilage and mass and thus help the lower portion of the body to grow. More weight can be added to the ankle for more stretch. Gradually adding weights to the ankles will stretch out the legs even more facilitating growth in height.

Cycling: This is yet another exercise which can help you grow taller. You can use a stationary bicycle or a regular bicycle. The focus mainly should be on the posture with which you cycle. You need to adjust the cycle seat a bit higher than normal. This will stretch out the legs when you put force on the pedals and thus aid in increasing your height.

In conclusion, while it is possible for an individual to increase his or her height even after attaining puberty this needs to be done with utmost caution and diligent exercises that have been mentioned. If these exercises are done as mentioned then it will not take long for an individual to notice some change in one’s height even after puberty.
