Radiant and flawless skin is the desire of almost every single human being. However, aging is an unavoidable phenomenon that you cannot control. But delaying the aging process to make sure that your skin does not pronounce your real age can be quite easy. Just by making a little alteration in your regular and usual diet and by adding a few super foods, you can say wrinkled and sagging skin "Come later!" Not only the skin, but you can also add years to your age with a good food habit.

Stalling some of the visible signs of aging can be done by checking on the food that you eat. It is a universally acknowledged fact that what you eat is reflected in your skin. The more you are dependent on junk and fatty food, preservatives and fast foods, the more you are likely to age fast. However, a nutritional diet is always useful in not only delaying the aging process, but also to keep you healthy.

    High in vitamin E, B-complex vitamins and a rich source of skin-protective antioxidants, avocadoes can keep your hair shiny and skin glow for long. Another compound that it contains and is called the glutathione is also very effective in delaying aging. Guava on the other hand is rich in Vitamin C and is a power house for anti-aging properties.

    Foods which are quite rich in beta-carotene and lycopene and are reddish-orange in colour, like tomato, watermelon etc. are good for the skin and can contribute in making the skin look radiant. This is because; they protect the skin from the UV rays of the sun. These two vitamins also help in repairing the skin from the damage that has already been done to the skin.

    Rainbow trout, sardines, salmon, cod etc. fishes that are rich in omega-3 fatty acid are good for delaying the aging of skin and health. The chemical that shows the signs of stress on the skin known as cortisol, is stopped releasing from the body and hence, the skin looks radiant and younger for long. It also stimulates the repairing of the skin and hence, you do not need to apply lotion or moisturizer additionally.

    Pumpkin and sunflower seeds are very useful for the skin. They have the highest natural vitamin E content that you can find in any other food around you. There is no other nutrient or antioxidant that can protect the fatty acids of the body and protect the cell membranes to make the skin look younger for long.

    The health benefits of certain sprouts and nuts are not unknown, but when it comes to delaying aging, the Brazil nuts are extremely good.     High in fibre, high in protein and full of essential amino acids, these two grains or cereals are extremely good for health as well as skin. Using this as a substitute for your regular breakfast meals with flour or rice based food items, will enhance the charm and glow of your skin and make it look younger.
