Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure done under local anesthesia; where there is a shift of individual hair follicle from one donor site to the recipient site (the site of baldness). Transplanted hair stays permanently at recipient site and does not fall because of resistant to physiological effects of DHT. DHT is responsible for causing male baldness in body or scalp. The hair follicles, which are used in the transplantation procedures are resistant to a hormone called DHT or Dihydrotestosterone.
