Is Apple Juice Good For Acid Reflux?

Having an apple every day keeps the doctor away. We have been learning about it for a long time. However, does apple or apple juice contain the qualities for curing acid reflux? Acid reflux is a symptom where the acid produced by the stomach reverts to the esophagus, which is the food pipe. The esophagus connects the lower part of the intestine where the digestive process begins. After consumption of the food, the esophagus closes, and acids get released in the stomach to digest the food. If the esophagus is partly open or completely open, it can cause acid reflux.

The common reason behind the occurrence of acid reflux is a hiatal hernia. It is a stomach abnormality and is curable. However, curability of the ailment varies according to the pain, the period of symptoms experienced by the patient, and the response to a particular medicine. The abnormality is due to a muscle that separates the stomach from the chest causing the esophagus to move about the diaphragm. The presence of the membrane ensures that the acid does not travel back into the food pipe during digestion.
