  • Make Gradual Changes - Avoid making drastic changes to your routine. Instead start slowly, and wake up 15 to 30 minutes before your usual time. Once you get used to this, you can preferably cut off further 15 minutes. Keep doing this gradually until you are able to wake up early in the morning.
  • Sleep Early - Night owls are almost used to staying late working, watching TV or surfing on internet. However, if you continue sitting up late night and then try to wake up early in the morning, you may deprive yourself of good sleep and most often may not be able to wake up fresh. Hence, it is highly advisable to sleep early, and then make efforts to wake up early.
  • Keep the Alarm Clock Away - If you place your alarm clock next to your bed, then there are complete chances that you will snooze it or switch it off and sleep again. However, if it is far then you would have to get up to switch it off, which would eventually help you to wake up early in the morning.
  • Go Out of Bedroom: Once you have turned off the alarm, make sure to move out of your room. You can go to the washroom to freshen up and wash off your face. This will surely help you wake up and get set for the day.
  • Avoid Excuses – Avoid thinking of the option of going back to bed. If you don't consider this option, you will never sleep back and will be able to make the most out of extra time. Remind yourself of your goal of waking up early in the morning.

For example, if you plan for a morning walk, keep your outfit and walking shoes ready at night.
