There are lots of oils that can be used in oil pulling like Sesame oil, coconut oil, and sunflower oil. In fact, coconut oil is the most preferred oil used for this remedy because of the pleasant taste and also because it offer several other health benefits.

From a few studies it is found that regular oil pulling decreases bacteria in mouth effectively. There are a lot of people who feel that their teeth are whiter and brighter after regular oil pulling. Let us talk below about how to oil pull for whitening your teeth.

Procedure To Whiten Teeth With Oil Pulling

Though oil pulling can be a time-consuming procedure to whiten your teeth, the process is pretty simple. Follow the steps mentioned below.

Step 1: Take a tablespoon or coconut or sesame oil. If you are using coconut oil, warm it such that it completely liquefies.

Step 2: Swish the oil to cover each and every area of the mouth for at least 15 minutes at the same time ensuring that it does not go down the throat. Also, do not gargle with coconut oil.

Step 3: Once you are through with pulling spit the oil out.

Step 4: Rinse the mouth thoroughly with warm water and brush the teeth.

NOTE: For best results, do this at least a few times a week.
