Choice of Clothing: This is one of the most common causes of Vaginal Skin Irritation.  The inner wear that you use is in direct contact with the skin around the vagina and if the cloth is not of a quality product then it may result in Vaginal Skin Irritation.  Thus it is advised that the inner wear that you use should be not overly tight and preferably made of cotton so as to not irritate the area and cause skin irritation.  Inner wear made of synthetic and other fibers promote growth of bacteria when they rub against the skin and cause Vaginal Skin Irritation where as cotton fabric allows the air to circulate and absorbs the moisture.  

Yogurt: Yeast infection is yet another cause of Vaginal Skin Irritation.  This infection is caused due to growth of fungus called Candida and is responsible for Vaginal Skin Irritation.  This is where yogurt comes to rescue as a home remedy.  Yogurt promotes good bacteria and helps in getting rid of this fungal infection and avoids Vaginal Skin Irritation.

Sitz Bath: Poor hygiene is yet another cause for Vaginal Skin Irritation and thus it is recommended to wipe the vaginal area from front to back thoroughly so as not to allow any bacteria to come from the rectum to the vagina and cause Vaginal Skin Irritation.  Taking sitz bath is a good option to stay away from Vaginal Skin Irritation due to hygienic issues.

Apple Cider Vinegar: This is quite an effective home remedy for treating Vaginal Skin Irritation as it has plenty of antibacteria and antifungal properties.  All you need to do is take about 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar and add to a glass of water.  Use this solution to wash the vaginal area at least two times a day for a few days to get rid of Vaginal Skin Irritation.

Cold Compresses: This is yet another effective home remedy to treat Vaginal Skin Irritation.  Using a cold compress will numb the irritated skin and reduce the inflammation.  To do this you can take a few ice cubes in a cloth and wrap the cloth around the ice cubes.  Put this cloth on the vaginal area for a few minutes.  You will feel a numbing sensation in this area for a few minutes.  Do this for 15-20 minutes two to three times a day to get rid of Vaginal Skin Irritation.

Garlic: This is a very old and effective home remedy for treating Vaginal Skin Irritation.  Garlic has plenty of antibacterial and antifungal properties which attack the bacteria and yeast causing Vaginal Skin Irritation and eliminate them thus treating the condition.  You need to take a few drops of garlic oil and mix it with a tablespoon of vitamin E oil and apply it to the vaginal area.  Leave it there for about 15 minutes and then wash the area thoroughly.  Do this for a couple of times a day for a few days to get rid of Vaginal Skin Irritation.

Indian Lilac or Neem Leaves: This is perhaps the most effective home remedy to get rid of Vaginal Skin Irritation.  Indian Lilac or Neem has antiseptic properties which help in fighting off infections and treat Vaginal Skin Irritation.  You need to take few Neem leaves in two cups of water and boil it.  Let the solution cool down and rinse the vaginal thoroughly with this solution for a few weeks and you will see a dramatic improvement in Vaginal Skin Irritation.
