Trichomoniasis is a type of inflammation which eventually spreads through a parasite, this parasite moves from one body to another through sexual contact i.e. it is a sexually transmitted inflammation. Both men as well as women are prone to develop this problem but women are more prone to this problems. If pregnant women are suffering from this problem then it may adversely affect the unborn child.   • In men, the infected parasite first affects the urethra present under the penis foreskin thereafter it spreads around.

Doctors prescribe to resist making any sexual contact until the medication is complete and the symptoms disappear.

Diagnosis

Doctors detect the problem after analyzing the past medical history of the patient and by conducting some tests. As the problem is caused by a parasite name trich, hence presence of this parasite in the sample of the patient confirms that the patient is suffering from the problem. In women the problem is often detected in the Pap test, which is performed for identifying abnormalities in the pelvic region.

How the Infected In Transmitted From One Person to Another

The infection mainly spreads from having unprotected sex with an infected partner. As discussed above majority of people suffering from this infected often does not experience any symptom. Hence, use of condom while having sex helps in drastically reducing the possibility of having this problem. In some rare scenarios individuals can also get the infection by using the personal belongings of the infected person such as towel. Trich parasite has the ability to stay alive on any object for a prolong period of time, so they are very actively moved from one individual to another. Another rare scenario is spreading of infection one mother to baby during the normal delivery but the chances of this cause are very less almost negligible. One should check with their doctor about the various causes by which the parasite can spread.

Treatment for Trichomoniasis

Manly two medicines tinidazole and metronidazole are very effective in treating trich. Both these medicines effectively kill the parasite completely. These medicines are easily available in the market either in the form of pills or capsule. Some of the people have a misconception that medicines that are given from the vagina are very effective in treating the problem but it is not at all true.

It is highly recommended by medical experts to get rid of the problem as soon as possible. This way the infected person stops transmitting the infection to others. One more thing which every individual should take care of is to take the partner also for treatment along so as to prevent the situation of getting infected repeatedly. It is also advised to avoid making any sort of sexual or physical contact with the partner until the symptoms of the problem completely disappear. Treating the problem also helps in preventing the problem from spreading from the expected mother to the new born. This is not the end the treatment also helps in avoiding any sort of infection which the individual can acquire after pelvic surgery.
