In order to heal the armpit rashes and itching caused due to fungal infections in armpits, you can prepare a vinegar bath by adding a few drops of vinegar to your bath water. Apart from this, you can also try dabbing a cotton ball in a solution of apple cider vinegar and water and then rub it on the areas of skin infection. One more thing to note is that by including vinegar in your regular diet, you will also improve your immune system health and this will help in fighting the infections well.

Herbal Remedies

One more natural home remedy for treating fungal infections in armpits involves the use of herbs such as Aloe vera. This is an effective anti inflammatory agent and also a power house of vitamins and minerals such as zine, thus serving as a sure shot cure against any fungal infections.

In order to avail the goodness of this herb, you can apply the Aloe vera gel (directly from the leaves of the plant) onto the affected areas or can prepare Aloe vera juice and dab it to the infected areas by using a cotton ball. Nowadays, several herbal topical creams available in the market as home remedies for fungal infections contain Aloe vera as their main ingredients.

Essential Oils

Using essential oils for healing fungal infections is an age old home remedy. Tea tree oil is one of the best essential oils that is proved to have strong anti-fungal properties, thus making it a great remedy to get rid of fungal infections in armpits. Mix few drops tea tree oil and thyme oil and apply the mixture on the affected area in your armpits. Do not use undiluted or 100% pure tea tree oil, as it can cause burning sensation in the skin.

It is advised that the application is done using a cotton ball dipped in the essential oil, rather than using fingers for application. This is to avoid contamination and infections. Apply twice in a day for few days to get quick and effective results.

Diet Modification

An unhealthy and unbalanced diet can promote the occurrence of fungal infections. It is important that you follow strict diet rules. Limit your sugar intake as it is known to encourage fungal growth. You must also avoid foods or products like mushrooms and cheese, which contain yeast in them. Add foods in your diet that has natural fungal fighting agents such as garlic and also drink plenty of water.

You can try having probiotic supplements and vitamin supplements which will help you enhance your immune system and will thus help in fighting skin fungal infections. However, before using the supplements, do consult with your doctor first.

Maintain Hygeine

One of the most important thing to prevent and manage fungal infections in armpits is to maintain a proper hygiene. Always try to keep the underarm area dry, as accumulation of moisture can promote fungal growth. Shower immediately after exercising so as to prevent sweat accumulation in the armpit regions. Use baby talcum powder to control sweating in the armpit regions. Wear loose fitting and comfortable clothes made of cotton, so as to allow your skin to breathe. Make sure that you wear clean and properly washed clothes, as unclean clothes can further promote fungal infection in armpits and elsewhere in the body.
