The moment you see the appearance of wrinkles on the face or other parts of the body a sinking feeling of getting old starts to occur. Some people go to the lengths of not even looking at the mirror for fear of seeing the wrinkles on their face, especially when they tend to increase in numbers with each passing day.

The cause for wrinkles to occur is the gradual decrease in the elasticity of the skin which holds the skin tight with the natural process of aging. When the skin starts to lose its elasticity it then starts to sag which is what is called as Wrinkles. They usually are more visible on the face, neck, behind the hands, and the forearms.

Getting Wrinkles is a normal aging process, but they can also be caused prematurely when an individual is overly exposed to sunlight or abuses recreational drugs. Wrinkles can also be a result of persistent stress. Genetics also play a role in an individual getting Wrinkles prematurely.

Olive Oil: It is a rich source of antioxidants and vitamins A and E which are extremely useful for the skin, thus making it an effective home remedy for wrinkles. Regular massaging of the skin with olive oil will not only moisturize the skin, but it will also repair and regenerate the skin. Since Olive Oil gets absorbed deep within the skin, it keeps the skin moisturized and fresh for a long period of time and hence is a Good Home Remedy for Wrinkles.

Either you can use Olive Oil alone or mix it with honey and glycerin for added benefit. You can use this natural mixture to massage, the skin twice daily to get rid of Wrinkles. If you are not able to lay your hands on olive oil then coconut oil is also extremely beneficial for wrinkles.

Fenugreek: The leaves, seeds and oil of Fenugreek are quite effective for various skin problems and can work on eliminating wrinkles too. Fenugreek leaves are extremely rich in vitamins and minerals and are easily absorbed by the body and if used regularly can treat Wrinkles effectively and hence is a very effective Home Remedy for Wrinkles. All you need to do is grind some Fenugreek leaves and make a paste of it. You can apply the paste on your face and leave it overnight for best benefits. You can wash the face with lukewarm water the next day.

Aloe Vera: This is an excellent Home Remedy for various skin and hair ailments. It can effective to get rid of Wrinkles also as it contains malic acid, which improves the elasticity of the skin especially around the face region which allows the skin to get tight and prevent any wrinkles from developing. All you need to do is use some Aloe Vera gel and apply it to the skin and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Then, you can wash the area with lukewarm water. Doing this regularly is extremely effective in getting rid of Wrinkles.

Ginger: This is an ancient herbal remedy useful for treating many medical conditions due to its high antioxidant properties. It also helps in slowing down the breakdown of elastin, which prevents the skin from losing its elasticity and thus keeps the skin wrinkle free for a long time. You need to mix some ginger with honey and eat this mixture every morning. Drinking ginger tea daily is also a good option to stay wrinkle free for a long time.

Bananas: Bananas are not only rich in vitamins and minerals, but are also a powerhouse of antioxidants and hence are a good Home Remedy for Wrinkles. All you need to do is take a couple of bananas and then mash to make a paste. Apply this paste on the areas where there are wrinkles. Let the paste remain for about half an hour and then wash the area with water. After washing you can apply some moisturizer or cream on the area.

Almonds: Almonds are extremely rich in fiber, vitamin E, iron, zinc, and folic acid which in combination are excellent for delaying the aging process and keep the skin tight and wrinkle free. All you need to do is soak some almonds in raw milk overnight. Grind the almonds the next day and make it into a paste which you need to apply on the wrinkled areas. Leave the paste on for about half an hour and then wash the area with water. You need to do this daily for best results.

Carrots: Carrots have vitamin A in abundance, which helps in production of collagen and improves the elasticity of the skin for a long period of time and keeps the skin wrinkle free and smooth. You need to boil a couple of carrots in water. Now blend the carrots and add some honey to it and make a paste. Apply this paste directly on the wrinkled area. Leave it for about half-an-hour and then wash it with water, doing this regularly will help you get rid of wrinkles.

Lemon Juice: It has citric acid in it, which helps in getting rid of dead skin cells. It also works as a cleansing agent, which helps in clearing wrinkles and keeps the skin fresh and smooth. All you need to do is rub some lemon on the skin and leave it on for about 10 minutes and then wash the area with water. Doing this two to three times a day will make your skin glow and keep you wrinkle free.

You can also mix lemon juice with honey and some yogurt. Apply this homemade paste on the wrinkled area and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash the area with water afterwards. This will keep the skin fresh and doing this regularly will help you in getting rid of wrinkles.
